Summary

Santosh Yadav, the mountaineer was born in Joniyawas village in Rewari district in
Haryana, India. She attended Maharani College in Jaipur, where she was able to see
mountaineers from her hostel room. This inspired her to Senroll in Uttarkashi's Nehru
Institute of Mountaineering.
In 1992, Yadav became the youngest woman in the world to achieve the feat of scaling
Mount Everest. Within twelve months, she became a member of an Indo-Nepalese
